Randolph Peter PETERSEN

PETERSEN, Randolph Peter Suddenly at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital on Monday, February 28, 2005 at the age of 62. Eldest son of Mina (Predon) and the late Willard G. Petersen of Azilda. Randy will be sadly missed by his mother, brothers Willard Jr., of Newmarket, Bentley (Eliisa) of Sudbury, sisters Doreena Munro (Maitland) of Barrie, Beverly Thorne (Randy) of Sault Ste. Marie and his nephews and nieces. Kindly remembered by his uncles, aunts, cousins and friends of the Petersen & Predon families. A former student of St. Charles College, Randy graduated from Ottawa University and attended law school at Queen's University. He resided in Ottawa for most of his life. The family appreciates the expertise and compassion of Levia Chan, Community Support worker for the Canadian Mental Health Association, who together with the staff of Hampton Lodge, made Randy's past few years comfortable and dignified. In accordance with Randy's preference for simplicity, family and friends will gather at Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, Sudbury, on Friday March 4th at 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service in the chapel. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Regent Street, in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice are welcomed. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 3/3/2005
