Alice DAVID

TREMBLAY, Alice (nee David) Peacefully at the Centre d'Accueil Champlain on Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at the age of 105 years. Wife of the late Alfred Tremblay and daughter of the late Joseph David and Olivina Florent. Predeceased also by seven sisters and two brothers: Anna Tremblay, Cecile Desjardins, Regina Desjardins, Gracia Couroux, Jeannette Bisson, Fernande Kennedy, Lucie, Adrien and Leo. Survived by two sisters Laurette Chenier and Juliette Nantel, one brother Fernand (Alda) as well as sister-in-law Laurence David. Many cherished nieces, nephews and friends will also miss her. She was a founding member and first officer of the first French speaking division of the St. John's Ambulance Brigade in Ottawa. At the time of her death, she was an honorary member of the Blackburn Hamlet Cadet Division of the St. John's Ambulance Brigade. Helping others was part of Alice's daily routine. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in memory of Alice on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Notre Dame de Lourdes Church (Vanier), 435 Montreal Road. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Centre d'Accueil Champlain for the professional and compassionate care given to Alice.
