KENNEDY, Leo Bernard Veteran WWII Peacefully surrounded by members of his family at The Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre on Monday, March 7, 2005, in his 79th year. Loving father of Lee, Michael, Carol (Fairbairn), Maureen, Rosemarie and John, and survived by his wife Rose (nee Warwick). Devoted grandfather of Jordan, Robert, Paige, Regan, Ryan; Craig and Colin (Fairbairn) and Carson. Son of the late Teresa Mary and Michael William Kennedy. Dear brother of Arthur (Art) and Michael Emmett Kennedy; brother-in-law to Gladys and Margaret Kennedy. Predeceased by his half brothers and sisters, Celestine, Irene (Lanthier), Roy, Reverend Father Thomas (Ernie) O.S.M. Caring father-in-law to Charlton Fairbairn, Norman Wiggan, Carol Manchester, Cecile Wood, Wendy (nee Paine) Kennedy and Nancy (nee Pearson) Kennedy. Leo will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all of us for his kind nature and wonderful sense of humour. We are all certain that Leo is now in a warm place, as always, regaling his golf partners with his many tales and one-liners. (between Baseline Rd. and Bayshore Dr.), Nepean on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, 153 Woodroffe Ave. at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery. The family wishes to thank nurses and caregivers of Perley Rideau 1 North for their compassion, kindness and wonderful care given to our father, a naval veteran.
