OBITUARY MIKE LAPOLLA 1969 - 2005 How do family and friends understand or accept the accidental loss of a man in his mid thirties. A man who was a loyal son, the forever baby brother and pillar to his sister, a true friend to all that he befriended. Mike will be remembered for his "joie de vivre" but most of all his unrelenting desire to make everyone around him happy and safe. In his short life he had many accomplishments, whether in his business life or the sports he chose to participate in. We ask ourselves, why did he have to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and why did he have to be involved at all. But that was Mike; if danger was imminent then he had to help in taking care of the problem. May his soul rest in peace. Mike passed away in Montreal on March 10, 2005 at the age of thirty-six. Beloved son of Maria and Vito Lapolla, cherished brother to Antoinette (Barry); he leaves to mourn many loving relatives and dear friends. The family will receive your condolences at the Magnus Poirier funeral home at 10300 boul. Pie-IX, Montreal on Tuesday, March 15 from 7 to 10 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 16 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 17 at 11:15 a.m. at Notre Dame de Pompei Church at the corner of Sauve and St. Michel in Montreal. Anyone wishing to make a donation can do so to the Montreal Children's Hospital as a token to Mike's unfulfilled desire to have children of his own one day. Mike's family thanks everyone who has been so supportive and caring through this most tragic event. Mike, we all love you so much and you will never be forgotten and forever in our hearts.
