SMILEY, James Harland Retired City of Gloucester Employee 35 Years Service Suddenly on Tuesday March 22, 2005, Harland Smiley of Manotick Station in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Lila (Payne). Dear father of Gwen (Dan Bellefeuille), June (Bernie Ligthart), Robert (Janet), Mark (Carolann), Cindy (Sean McGuire), Susan (John Baril) and Peter (Karen). Loving grandfather of James, Kyle, Trevor, Sarah, Eric, Travis, Jasmine, Philip, Jimmy, Nicholas and Melissa. Step-grandfather to Allan Jr., Patrina, Matthew, Kristina, Ashley and Greg. Harland was born November 20, 1935 in Campbell's Bay to the late Herman and Elena. Dear brother of Keith (Audrey), the late John and Glen. Son-in-law of Sadie (late Milton Payne). Faithful member of the Wiserguys Hockey Association. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Duncan Funeral Home, Chapel and Reception Centre, 6971 Bank Street (formerly Highway 31 between Scrivens Drive and Metcalfe Corner) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. Funeral Saturday in the Chapel for the Service at 2 p.m. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens.
