Carol Louise Kilgar (née Langley) December 25, 1938 - March 27, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) KILGAR, Carol Louise - Eastern Passage, died March 27, 2005, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Providence, R.I., she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Mildred Langley. Carol came to Canada at the age of two and graduated as a hairdresser from the Halifax Vocational School where she captured the Proficiency Trophy. She ran her own hairdressing shop and worked at Ferry Aviation Canada and as Jewelry Manager for Zellers Ltd. Carol was a wonderful mother and grandmother as well as a friend and advisor for any who crossed her path. She will be remembered for her generous heart and sage advice. Carol was a devoted Roman Catholic who took much solace from her tremendous faith. She is survived by her husband, Basil; daughters, Kathleen Kilgar (Bruce Hubley), Linda (Mrs. Stephane Fortin), Carol-Ann Kilgar (Randy Leroux); grandchildren, Michael Fortin, Rachel Fortin, Kimberley Leroux; sisters, Joan Hotte, Palm Springs, Calif.; Audrey McCready, Dartmouth. She was predeceased by sister, Harriet Moran. Visitation will be held today from 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, Eastern Passage, Rev. Thomas Thekkekera officiating with burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
