MILES, FRANCES CATHERINE (POWER) It is with profound sadness that the Miles family announces Frances' (Tancy) passing, after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer disease, on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington, Ontario, at age 83. Beloved wife of John Frederick Miles for 54 years and adored mother of John (Debbie), Robert (Christine) and Leytha Miles, all of Burlington and Dalyce Miles-Laurie (Garth Laurie) of Oakville. Cherished grandmother of John, James, Doug (Roberta), Matthew and Laura Miles, Arthur and Frances Cobham and Catherine Laurie and the late Stephen Miles and great-grandmother of Brody and Aidan Miles. Loving sister of Lawrence Power of Sydney, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by her parents John and Frances Power, brothers Bernie, George (Mary) and John, sister Dolores and sister-in-law Marie Power, all of Sydney, Nova Scotia. She will be fondly remembered by her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Ralph and Dorothy Miles, Margaret Power and Monica Power and by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Billings Court Manor and Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of the QEW), Burlington (905-632-3333) on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Prayer Service Tuesday 8pm. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church, 4072 New Street, Burlington on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 10:30 am.
