Helen HUME

PARCHELLO, HELEN - The death of Helen Parchello of Hampton, husband of William Parchello occurred March 27, 2005 at University of Massachusetts Hospital. She was born at Prince Rupert, B.C. daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Carter) Hume. She was a registered nurse at the Saint John General Hospital and Regional Hospital retiring in 1982. Helen was an active volunteer with Hospice, Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre, Hampton. She was a member of the Hampton Community Club where she was head volunteer at the Vivian Myles Community Library, Hampton Curling Club, Hampton Golf Club and was a former Rules Representative of the N.B. Ladies Golf Association. Surviving besides her husband William are two daughters Deborah Katz (Herbert) of Winnipeg, Patricia Reid (Andrew) of England; two sons, William Reid of Montreal, Bruce Reid (Karen) of Australia; one stepson Gregory Parchello (Josephine) of Columbus, Mississippi; one stepdaughter Jane Lutes (Robert) of Wolfville, N.S. and several grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers James and Frank Hume. There will be no visitation by request. A service will be held at a later date. Memorials to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. The arrangements have been entrusted to Reid's Funeral Home, (832-5541), Hampton.
