David George Palmer LONDON, ON - David George Palmer, of London passed away on March 30, 2005 after a valiant struggle with cancer. He was a retired employee of Xerox Canada and a volunteer with Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre. David is survived by his father, Milton Palmer of Moncton, NB; and his sons, Derrick of Toronto and Mark of London. Also survived by cousins, Joy Mann of Hilden, NS; aunts, Rita Palmer of Halifax, NS, Marion (Frank) Wilson of Delmar, CA, and several other cousins; sister-in-law, Marlene Colquhoun (Cam) and family; former wife, June Palmer, as well as many faithful friends in AA. David was predeceased by his mother, Lena Palmer. The family will receive friends and relatives at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street East (at Wavell), London for a memorial service on Friday, April 1, 2005 at 7 pm. Visitation one hour prior. Cremation has taken place. Interment St. Peter's Anglican Church Cemetery, Foxley River, PEI at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated. The family would like to thank particularly David's AA family and the Palliative Care Unit 6W-South Street Campus and all others who supported and cared for him throughout his illness and final days.
