BONNELL, RUTH ESTELLE (NEE THURSTON) - Peacefully on Tuesday morning, March 29, 2005 at Lafontaine Lodge in Pickering, Ontario. Wife of the late John W. Bonnell for over 50 years, loving mother of sons Bob and Brian, cherished grandmother to Christopher, Timothy and Phillip. Ruth survived her five dear Thurston brothers, Roy, Ken, Art, Gord and Bruce, all formerly from Montreal West, and is fondly remembered by all her nieces and nephews on both sides of her family. Ruth was church secretary at Trinity Anglican Church in Saint John, N.B. for many years and was active in the church choir as well as the Alter Guild. She was also an avid curler in her younger years and loved the outdoors. Ruth and John both were active volunteers with the Canadian Red Cross, "Meals on Wheels" and with the Literacy Council of New Brunswick. Interment will be in Saint John, N.B. in August at a time to be announced. The family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer Association in lieu of flowers. [Telegraph-Journal]
