PETERSEN, MILDRED ALLENE (Nee AUSTIN) - 1915- 2005. Mildred Allene Petersen (nee Austin) born November 20, 1915 in Musquash, NB passed away March 26, 2005 in Calgary, Alberta. Mildred was predeceased by her husband, William Edgar Petersen; her daughter, Phyllis and her grandson, John. Mum is survived by four daughters: Pam Petersen (Tom Graves), Radium Hot Springs, BC; Carole O'Flaherty (Gerry), Calgary, Alberta, Mary Leigh Petersen (Steve Mitchell), Lawrencetown, NS and Chris Petersen (Dennis), Calgary, Alberta. Nannie also leaves behind eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mum arrived in Calgary in 2002 after 86 years in the Maritimes to be with her devoted daughter, Chris, the only one who could keep up with her. Mum touched many in her 89 years. "You can take the girl out of the Maritimes, but you can't take the Maritimes out of the girl." Our Bonne Amie In the west, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church, (5340- 4th St. S.W.,Calgary, Alberta) on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at 7:00 PM. In the east, a memorial mass will be celebrated at Saint John Bosco Catholic Church, Dalhousie, New Brunswick, in August 2005. Sincere appreciation to the Medical Staff of Rockyview Hospital in Calgary, Alberta - Units 59, 56 and the CCU.
