Frances J. Davidson 1909 - 2005 It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of Frances Davidson, wife of the late Cecil Davidson of Moncton, formerly of Miramichi, at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, April 2, 2005 at the age of 96. Born in Doyles Brook, March 12, 1909, the daughter of the late George and Grace (MacKinley) Gallan. She was a life long member of St. Mark's United Church, Quarryville. Frances was a creative homemaker, who was a volunteer for many years with the Canadian Red Cross, which gave her the opportunity to pursue her many hobbies which included sewing, knitting, quilting and baking. She is survived by her sons, Perley (Louise) of Moncton, with whom she resided, George (Shirley) of Lindsay, ON; daughter, Ethel Price of Moncton; sisters, Georgina Pleadwell of Upper Derby, Alice Matchett of Cranbrook, BC, Velma Price of Miramichi; sisters-in-law, Ella Gallan of Gray Rapids, and Ruth Gallan of Doyles Brook; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Cecil; she was predeceased by sisters, Mae, Beryl and Dorothy; brothers, Perry, Austin, Angus, Harry, and infant, George. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home in Moncton, with visiting hours on Monday, April 4 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Visitation will also be held at St. Marks United Church, Quarryville on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM. A reception to follow.
