Shirley Irene Sullivan December 21, 1920 - April 02, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) SULLIVAN, Shirley Irene - 84, Halifax, passed away on April 2, 2005, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. The lord took her home where she so desperately wanted to be. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late William and Claire (McKay) Wittek. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Shirley is survived by daughters, Brenda (Ron) Kervin, Marsha (Patrick) Doherty, Halifax; Lisa (Declan) Harding, Ireland; son, William (Margaret) Sullivan, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Teri, Rachael, Sean, Brian, Navarro, and Kara. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Bernard Sullivan; brother, William Wittek; an infant son at birth. By request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Bedford Highway, on Wednesday, April 6, at 10 a.m., Rev. Donald Boudreau officiating. There will be no visitation. A reception will be held immediately following the mass in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
