Roger Douglas Publicover July 04, 1948 - April 01, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) PUBLICOVER, Roger Douglas - 56, Lake Echo, passed away Friday, April 1, 2005, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, with his family by his side. Born in Quoddy, he was a son of Margaret Annie and the late Earl Publicover. Roger was a loving husband and father. He was a hockey coach for the Eastern Shore Minor Hockey League for many years. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter. Roger was a carpenter for most of his life. He worked for many years with Standard Construction, M.R.S. Construction and Leaf Electric. He also worked for M.I. Swaco for the last six years and traveled around the world with that company. Surviving are his wife the former, Jeannette Walker; son, Aaron (Shannon), Chezzetcook; daughter, Alicia, at home; brothers, Harold (Avis), Dartmouth; James, and Murray (Connie), both of Quoddy; Ralph (Cheryl), Dartmouth; sisters, Florence (Jack), Dartmouth; Jean (Wayne), Helen (Hector), both of Quoddy; Audrey (Todd), Lake Echo; several nieces and nephews. Roger was predeceased by his father, Earl; brothers, Frank, Ron, Edgar; sister, Lillian. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 5, at 11:30 a.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, Rev. Ivan Gregan officiating. Interment will be at a later date. A reception will follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre.
