Fortin, Elric (Jackpine) ---- It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing away of Elric Fortin (Age 70) Saturday January 08, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elliot Lake. Beloved husband of Lela Fortin (nee Martin) of Elliot Lake, loving father of Dennis of Dowling, Shelley, Kevin of Elliot Lake, Lisa (Rodney) of Azilda and Crystal (Derek) of Elliot Lake. Cherished grandfather of Landon. Son of Albert Fortin and Delia (nee Bouchard) of Blind River both predeceased. Dear brother of the late Albert (Dorothy) of Sudbury, the late Marie (Art) of North Bay, the late Thomas of Blind River, Olive (Bill predeceased) of Onaping, Hector (Bertha) of Blind River, Yvette of North Bay and Jackie (Eugene) of Blind River. Elric will sadly be missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Blind River in 1934, Elric retired from forestry for E.B. Eddy after 24 good years as an equipment operator. He always had a great love for fishing and hunting. At his request, cremation with a Memorial Service held at St. Joseph's Hospital Chapel Thursday, January 13, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. for his immediate family and close friends. Memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL SERVICES.
