SHAW, Verna Adell (nee Mumford )---- In loving memory of Verna Adell Shaw (nee Mumford), 88 years who passed away Sunday morning, January 30th, 2005 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. She was born in Magnetawan and married Lucas Shaw in 1940 in Magnetawan. Verna's life revolved around her family, friends and home. Her interests and hobbies included flower gardening, crocheting afghans and quilting. A woman of faith she was a member of Copper Cliff United Church. She greatly enjoyed her involvement and friendships within the United Church Women's group. Beloved wife of Lucas Shaw predeceased 1989. Loving mother of Eleanor Stevenson (husband Walter) of Lively and Ken Shaw (wife Karen) of Lake Penage. Cherished grandmother of Mark (wife Paulette), Michael (wife Roberta) Lori, Jennifer (husband Eric) and Michelle; great grandchildren Rachel, John, David, Samuel, Timothy, Grace and Bethany. Dear daughter of Albert and Rebecca (Elliott) Mumford predeceased. Dear sister of Blanche Dunbar (husband Robert) of Sundridge and the late Laura, Estelle, Cecil, Elva, Norman, Florence and Oscar all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, Tuesday, February 1st, 2005 at 7 p.m. Interment in the Waters Cemetery at 2 p.m. Wednesday February 2nd, 2005.
