Laurent Dillon , of Kapuskasing ---- Date of Death: January 17th, 2005 ---- died suddenly in Kapuskasing on Jan. 17, 2005. He was 58 years old. Mr. Dillon was born on May 30, 1946 in Jogues. He worked as a truck driver. He was described by family as a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and friend who was a kind, thoughtful, tender, patient, loving and hard-working man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing baseball and most of all, spending time with family and friends. Family members also said that his grandchildren were his pride and joy and that he touched the lives of all he knew with his gentle face and loving smile. Mr. Dillon was predeceased by his parents Lois and George, sister Marie Laurin and brothers Edmond, Angus and Phillip. He is survived by his wife Sandra (Smith), daughter Angela (Michel) Chouinard of Hearst and grandchildren Dillon and Amanada Chouinard. Also surviving are brothers Pat, Robert (Gabrielle), Vincent (Marguerite), Arthur (Mary), Roy (Janet), Norman (Françoise) and James (Lucille), all of Jogues and John (Lilianne) of Hallebourg; sisters Leonie (Leboire) Bissette of Deauville, Quebec, Germaine (Dieudonne) Rodrigues of Jogues and Lois (Pierre) Neron of Cochrane; and sisters-in-law Jeannine Dillon of Timmins and Anita Dillon of Wawa. Fr. Remi Lessard directed the funeral at Sts Martyrs Canadiens in Jogues. Mr. Dillon will be interred at Sts Martyrs Canadiens in Jogues. Donations may be made to the Foyer des Pionniers.
