Viola KIVI

KIVI, Viola "Vi" - In loving memory of Viola "Vi" Kivi. It is with deep sadness that the family of Vi Kivi announces her sudden passing on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at the age of 73. Left to mourn her passing are "Auntie Mimi's" nieces and nephews: Cathy, Donna, Peter, Joe and Lorie (husband Rick Bazinet) Vendramin. Vi was a loving and involved great-aunt to Tayler and Courtney Vendramin and Chelsea and Brandon Bazinet. She was predeceased by her mother Saima Kallio, father Armas Kivi and step-father Otto Kallio. Vi was also predeceased by her loving sister Aune (Kivi) Vendramin and her much-loved brother-in-law Gino Vendramin. Also left to grieve are her loyal neighbours and friends Doris Schwar and Don Brisebois. Vi was a fun-loving, irrepressible, independent woman. Right up to the end, she lived her life on her own terms. She died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her constant companions, cats Mickey and Sally. Vi was a huge animal lover and a rescuer of animals in distress. She was also an accomplished bowler and curler in her younger days. Perhaps her best moments in life were spent at her camp on Long Lake. Vi loved to fish, entertain friends and family, and read novel after novel in the sunshine. Vi was a long-time valued employee of Foot and Goring Insurance and later, the Taxation Centre. At Vi's request, there will be no public visitation. Friends are invited to celebrate Vi's life at a memorial service Monday, February 14, 2005 at 1 p.m. at JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME. In recognition of Vi's life-long love of all animals and in lieu of flowers, friends may consider making a donation to Pet Save. Vi, you were one-of-a-kind. We will miss your kindness, sage advice, and great sense of humour. May you find eternal peace with God and your family who await you with outstretched arms.
