Jean-Pierre Brunet , of Jogues - Date of Death: February 7th, 2005 - The funeral service for Jogues resident Jean-Pierre Brunet, 72, was held Feb. 11th, 2005. He died Feb. 7th at home from a heart attack. Born Aug. 22nd, 1932 in Montreal, he came to the Jogues area in 1938. Described as a solitary, sociable, serious person and practising church-goer, he had an avid interest in railways and museums. He also enjoyed walking, going to restaurants, travel, and his truck. Predeceased by his parents Auréanna and Achille Brunet of Jogues, and a sister-in-law Claire Brunet of Ottawa, he leaves his sisters Louise (Olivin) Bérubé of Kapuskasing, Hélène (Raymond) Proulx of Jogues and Françoise (Jean-Paul) Campeau of Hearst, and brothers Jacques (Rita) of Sudbury, Jean (Lucille) of Hearst, Michel of Ottawa, and Gilles Brunet of Cobourg. Rev. Rémi Lessard directed the morning service at Église Sts-Martyrs-canadiens. Interment will take place in May at the Sts-Martyrs-canadiens Cemetery. Funeral director was the Salon Lafrance Funeral Home. Commemorative donations may be made to Hearst's Foyer des Pionniers Nursing Home.
