SAVAGE, DOUGLAS A. At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Sunday April 10, 2005 Douglas A. Savage of Fredericton passed away at the age of 86. Born in South Devon, he was a son of the late Charles Temple and Grace (Harding) Savage and husband of the late H. Jean (Locke) Savage. Douglas was a retired printer with the Daily Gleaner. He was a member of the Salvation Army where he was very actively involved in church activities. He was a member Canadian Order of Foresters I.T.U. # 664 (Union). The last surviving member of his immediate family, he is survived by three children Margaret Rose Lunn (Frank) of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, Patricia Louise Steele (Michael) of Barrie, ON, Robert Douglas Savage (Margo) of Barrie, ON; sister-in-law Thelma Savage of Fredericton; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three sisters Margaret Savage, Pauline Crawford and Jessie Hodgson; four brothers Harding, Richard, John and Charles "Ted" Savage. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 13, 2005 at the Salvation Army on Westmorland Street, Fredericton at 2:00 pm with Major Leo Vincent officiating. Interment will be held at the Rural Extension Cemetery.
