James "Jim" Hal David Warren January 21, 1938 - April 09, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) WARREN, James Hal David "Jim" - 67, Cole Harbour, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 9, 2005, at home with his loving wife at his side. Born January 21, 1938 in Charlottetown, P.E.I., he was the elder son of the late Edwin and Penelope (Pray) Warren. Jim was a Christian and active in Forest Hills Fellowship Baptist Church, where he served as assistant treasurer and treasurer for several years. He attended school in Charlottetown and graduated from Prince of Wales College and also from Dalhousie University in Halifax with a B.Sc. He was especially fond of women, children, cats, dogs and horses. He retired after 35 years with Health Canada as a food and drug inspector. Besides family and friends, he enjoyed Red Sox baseball, photography, horse racing and bluegrass music. Along with his wife, the former Muriel MacKinnon, and daughter, Susan, Toronto, Jim is survived by his sister, Penni (Reg) Stuart; brother, Rick (Pat); nieces, Angela, Kate, Christy, Deborah and Maryann; nephews, Jona, Tim, Craig, Stuart and Jeffry; great-nieces, Jessica, Heidi and Samantha; great-nephews, Brenden, Ian, Justin and Max. He was predeceased by sister, Linda Parker. Jim always appreciated the care he received on Section 6 of the Dialysis Unit and the medical care he received from the doctors, nurses and staff at the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII, and the Woodlawn Medical Centre. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where the family will receive friends from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Forest Hills Fellowship Baptist Church, 915 Cole Harbour Rd., Rev. Jonathan McLeod officiating. Private family interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow in the church hall. Family flowers only.
