Katherine "Kate" Yvonne Zinck (née Sherman) January 18, 1959 - April 12, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home * ZINCK……Katherine Yvonne, “Kate” age 46, of Lower Vaughan, Hants County, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, April 12th, 2005, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, with her family by her side. Born on January 18th, 1959, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Jean (Hart) Sherman. She had worked at Avon Valley Greenhouses and Mason’s Apples. She loved flowers, especially having them throughout the home. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend to all who knew her, as well a being a special grandmother to her granddaughter, Mya, who passed away on February 2nd, 2005. She is survived by her husband, John; sons, John (Shannan), Moncton, NB; Michael (Amanda), Falmouth; daughters, Tammy and Amanda, at home; brothers, Howard (Donna) Sherman, Lower Vaughan; Bill (Sandra) Sherman, Hantsport; Doug (Cathy) Sherman, Lower Vaughan. Besides her granddaughter Mya, she was predeceased by a sister, Lena Sherman; brother, Clarence Sherman. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Wednesday; 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 15th, 2005, in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Burton Walsh officiating. Interment in the Vaughan Community Cemetery, Lower Vaughan. Donations in her memory, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
