Mrs. Edna C. Cormier 1923-2005 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Edna Caroline Cormier, wife of Raymond (Remi) Cormier, of the Gardiner Point Road, Bay du Vin, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Wednesday morning, April 13, 2005, at the age of 81. Born in Loggieville, she was the daughter of the late Arlington and Annie (McLenaghan) Johnston. She was a homemaker and an active and dedicated member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin; a member of the Church Vestry. She is survived by her husband, Raymond (Remi); four daughters, Jean Martinson (Donald), of Mexico, Arlene Marchella, of Mississauga, Ont., Evelyn Durelle (Rosaire), of Gardiner's Point, and Doreen MacDonald (Darrell), of Napan; three sons, Wayne Gulliver (Marvia), of Gardiner's Point, David Gulliver (Jean), of Gardiner's Point, and Lorne Gulliver, of Courtney, B.C.; two step daughters, Faith DeSonto (John) and Lori Cormier; four sisters, Norma Roberts (Reginald), of Edmonton, Alta., Audrey Murphy (James), of Mississauga, Ont., Lois Taylor, of Bay du Vin, and Geraldine Publicover (Weldon), of Ottawa, Ont.; two brothers, Herman Johnston (Adrienne), of Black River Bridge, Robert Johnston (Arlene), of Fredericton; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Winston Gulliver; one sister, Eva Foster; five brothers, Floyd, Johnny, Harold, Eldon and Dougal Johnston. By her request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The public are invited to a memorial service to be held from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin, on Sunday, April 17, 2005, at 3 pm, conducted by Rev. Don Hamilton. Interment will be in the church cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. John the Evangelist Church, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
