PERNETTE, RUTH E. At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on April 13, 2005, Ruth E. Pernette of Fredericton passed away at the age of 81. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Flora Huey, and wife of the late John E. Pernette. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church, U.C.W. and the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch #4. She is survived by four daughters, Diane Pernette of Dartmouth; Carolyn Strang (Perley) of Tabusintac; Pam Smith (Daniel) of Keswick Ridge; Susan Price (Philip) of Charters Settlement; six grandchildren Jason and Tammy Strang; Shawna and Jonathan Smith; Wesley and Joshua Price; three great grandchildren Zachary, Matthew and Justin; brother Ralph Huey of Charlotte, N.C.; several nieces and nephews, and special friend Kay. The family will receive friends at Bishop's Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton on Friday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Service will be at St. Paul's United Church on Saturday April 16, 2005 at 2 pm, with Rev. David Fisher and Rev. Gil MacKenzie officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.
