Reta Sauer Reta Sauer, of Moncton, NB and formerly of Woody Point, NF, passed away at at her residence in Moncton on Friday, April 15, 2005. Born in Woody Point, NF, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Madeline "Maude" (Newman) Wilton. She was a member of the St. George's Anglican Church in Moncton. In her youth living in Newfoundland, she was very active in theatre and she was a gifted organist and solist, which later lead her to become a church organist in Western Newfoundland and she taught piano for many years. Reta was a foster parent and was a member of the New Brunswick Foster Parents Association. She is survived by her husband, Henry Sauer; three daughters, Sylvia Smith (Keith), Sonya Meier all of Riverview, Deborah Van Zealand (John) of Campbellton, NB; son, Derek Sauer (Lois) of Ajax, ON; a former son-in-law, Reg Smith of Moncton; eleven grandchildren, Brad, Colin, Brennan, Jordan, Courtney, Niko, Cole, Henry, Bernard, Isabel and Roy; five great grandchildren, Tristen, Brendan, Kyle, Peter and Josh; sister, Stella Hurst of Missouri, USA; a special niece, Mona of Deer Lake, NF; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Heidi; sisters, Mima and Jean; and by brothers, Douglas and Cheney. The Funeral Service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church in Moncton on Monday, April 18, 2005 at 2:00 pm with The Rev. Albert Snelgrove and The Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating.
