Mary Watts Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home MARY WATTS On April 15, 2005 at Betel Home, Gimli, Mary Watts passed away in her 97th year. She was predeceased by her husband Bill, her parents, and her seven siblings. She will be remembered by her daughter Carla (Sally); grandsons, Hal (Taralee), Robert (Brigitte); her great grandchildren, Caléa and Trey; her nieces and her sisters-in-law Mary and Tina Dyck. Mum often talked of her Manitoba prairie roots and was proud of the fact that she taught herself to read and write even though she had received little formal schooling. Until the last few years, she kept herself apprized of current events and held very strong views on the things she felt affected the world. Mum took pride in the accomplishments of her grandsons, and was thrilled to be a great grandmother to Caléa and to Trey. Our family would like to thank the staff at Betel Home for trying so hard to make Mum’s time there pleasant and to Dr. R. C. Patel for his care. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Flowers gratefully declined.
