Mr. Gerald Thompson Trueman April 03, 1915 - April 18, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Campbell's Funeral Home Gerald Thompson Trueman age 90, of Truemanville, passed away suddenly at Gables Lodge on Monday, April 18, 2005. Born on April 3, 1915 in Truemanville, he was a son of the late Norman and Gertrude (Mitchell) Trueman. Gerald is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen (Black), one son Eric (Marie), two granddaughters, Krista (Dave) Stacey and Cherlyn, one great grandson, Caleb Stacey. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Doreen Reid in 1990. Gerald loved working his farm until retirement. Through the years, he won many championships on his potatoes, having won two international championships in the seed class and one in the table stock. In his younger years, he took an active part in community affairs. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at 2 p.m. from Campbell’s Funeral Home, (667-9906), Amherst, N.S. with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating.
