John "Jack" O'Neill Bathurst, NB - John "Jack" O'Neill, 77, of O'Neil Dr., Bathurst, died Monday April 18, 2005 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Belledune, he was the son of the late John James and Florence (Culligan) O'Neill. He worked as a Salesman in Northern New Brunswick for over 30 years. Founding member of the U.C.T. Council #827, Bathurst, he was also a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst, Cansurmount, Gowan Brae Golf and Country Club, the Bathurst Curling Club, a former coordinator for Bathurst Minor Hockey Association and was involved with the Literacy Council. Besides his wife, the former Doris Dunn, he is survived by two sons, Gary O'Neill (Sue) of Bathurst, Brian O'Neill (Ruth Ann) of Summerside, PEI; one daughter, Dawn O'Neill of Moncton, NB; one brother, Charlie O'Neill (Eileen) of Belledune, NB; three sisters, Marjorie O'Neill of New Westminster, BC, Eileen O'Neill of Belledune, NB, Theresa Libby (Ken) of Minto, NB; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst, Wednesday, April 20, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm and on Thursday from noon till time of Funeral. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon April 21, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery later in the spring.
