Jessie Margaret Patterson NELSON-MIRAMICHI, NB - The death of Mrs. Jessie Margaret Patterson, wife of the late Victor Patterson of Miramichi Senior Citizens Home and formerly of Nelson-Miramichi, NB, occurred on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 82. Born in South Nelson, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Muriel (Bateman) McLaughlin. She attended St. James United Church, Nelson, NB and was a member of the St. James Church Choir and UCW, Nelson Community Hall and the Nelson Senior Citizens. Jessie is survived by two daughters, Frances Harper of Miramichi, NB, Vicky Richard (Brian) of Miramichi, NB; one brother, Alfred McLaughlin of South Nelson, NB; sister-in-law, Mayme (Henderson) Doyle of Miramichi, NB; six grandchildren, Daryl Harper, Debbie Harper, Donna Connolly, Diane Breau, Kevin Richard and Kerri Harris; nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews and special relative Florence Traer. Besides her husband and parents, Jessie is predeceased by son-in-law, Gerald Harper, infant granddaughter, sister-in-law, Kathleen McLaughlin and brother-inlaw, Waldo Henderson. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from St. James United Church, Nelson, NB on Friday at 2 PM with Rev. Ross Wiseman officiating. Burial will take place in St. James United Church Cemetery later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the St. James United Church, Palliative Care of the Miramichi Regional Hospital or the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home.
