CHURCH, Thomas Henry, Passed away after a brief illness at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Tuesday, April 5, 2005, in his 90th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Edna "Pat". Tom will be remembered by his sister Denise, brother-in-law No rm and his wife Bonnie, sisters-in-law Shirley and Jean. Loved by many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his brother Cecil and his sister-in-law Ethel. Tom served in WWII as an R.C.A.F. navigator and was a prisoner of war for 27 m onths in Germany. He was a practicing optometrist from 1949-1985. A long time member of St. George's Anglican Church, served as President of the Brotherhood of Anglican Church Men, as well as several committees, a former member of the St. Catharines Kiwanis Club and a member of the St. Catharines Golf & Country Club. He was an avid golfer, played basketball and ran with the Harriers, loved gardening and all things in nature. He touched the lives of many and will be truly missed. As per Tom's wis hes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Tom's Life will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, 83 Church Street on Friday, April 8, 2005 at 2 p.m. Visitation in the church from 1-2 p.m. If desired, donations to St. George's Anglican Church or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
