GREIG, Doris (nee Jones), Passed away after a brief but valiant fight against leukemia, just days after her 85th birthday, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Tuesday, April 19, 2005. Best friend and wife of 44 years to Donald Greig of Niagar a Falls. Beloved mother of Maureen Denny (Tom) of California, Lisa Greig of Cheektowaga and Janine Greig (Shawn) of St. Catharines. Much missed Grandma to Ryan of Cheektowaga, Daniel, Cheyanne, Emma and Jeremy of St. Catharines. Doris was born in Lon don, England and worked in the Code and Cypher Ministry during World War II. Doris was predeceased by her parents and her never forgotten brother Ron who was missing in action as a fighter pilot in England during World War II. Doris is survived by he r sister Betty of Toronto and brothers Brian (Mary) and Stanley (Jane), both overseas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Sadly missed by her friend Joan and by her nephews Robert (Jane) Greig and Nigel (Kim) Jone s. Doris was an avid cat lover and a fantastic cook. Each grandchild has their own special blanket made by Grandma. She will be missed. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Frida y 2-4 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at a later date at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill. In memory of Doris donations in lieu of flowers to the Niagara Animal Assistan ce Society or the Sisters of the Precious Blood would be appreciated by her family.
