WILSON, Erie James, Suddenly at his home on Wednesday, April 27th, 2005, Erie James Wilson, of the City of Thorold, in his 89th year. Beloved husband and best friend for 63 years to Ruth Wilson (nee Brown). Loving father of Joyce (Ean) Rankin of Tex as, Donald (Joan) Wilson of Thorold, Linda (Richard) Ranaudo of Tennessee, Lorraine (David) Clark of Australia and Jeannie Catchpole of Idaho. Also loved by his 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Survived by his sister Rhea Masterson of St. Catharines and predeceased by sisters May Brown, Betty Finlay and brother John Wilson. Erie was a dairy farmer until 1952, then worked as an Assessor for 30 years until his retirement in 1982. He was an active member of the Fonthill United Church for 71 years, active with the St. Catharines Singing Saints, several quartets and church choirs. Friends will be received by the family from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill. T he funeral service will be conducted at Fonthill United Church, 42 Church Hill, Fonthill, on Monday, May 2nd at 11;00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Paul Owen officiating. Interment Fonthill Cemetery.
