OBITUARY WILBERT MILTON "BERT" BROWN Passed away peacefully at the age of ninety-two years. Predeceased by his wife Ann (nee Priushki) and his brothers Clifford, William and Clarence. Bert is survived by his nephew Doug (Sandy) Brown). Born in Port McNicoll, Bert left the Midland area at the age of twenty-one, to pursue his musical career in Montreal. During his many years as a versatile and talented musician he played tuba for the Montreal Alouettes Marching Band, accompanied Oscar Peterson on bass guitar, played stand up bass with the Montreal Orchestra Symphoniques. Bert had many good friends at the Montreal YMCA, where he was a member for over forty-five years. During the last two years of his long and interesting life, Bert relocated to Camlachie to be with his family and soon after managed to get himself a gig with the Davis Smith Band, a group of local musicians who entertain in the Sarnia area. He will be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he enriched with his wonderful sense of humour and the beautiful music he made for us. At the request of the family no services will be held. Sympathy through donations to the Y.M.C.A. or Harmony House would be appreciated by the family.
