CHARNESS, Hilde. Vicki and Jerry Charness and Toba and Michael Ripsman are most saddened to announce the passing on April 8, 2005 of Hilde Charness in London, England, wife of our father, the late Isidore J. Charness, QC. We attended their wedding. The remarriage of a dear parent is always a bitter-sweet experience. It pronounces the finality of the loss of the parent that died. Hilde, however, brought to our Dad true love and endless devotion. She became a grandmother to our children Jordan, Shelley, Cindy, Sid, Elana, Jonathan, Colin, Arlene, Norrin, Nathalie, Galila, Rafi and Randy, as well as a beloved great-grandmother to Deena, Tamar and Yamin Weiss; Ariel, Eitan, Joshua, and Orly Aziza; Dvora, Dov and Talia Charness; Danielle, David and Ryan Ripsman; Orit, Amichai, Elitzur and Tehilla Ishran; and Shira Ripsman. Hilde was a lady in the full sense of the word. She was loved by all who knew her. Our hearts go out to Yvette, Naomi and Jonathan, as well as the rest of the family in England.
