Joy Belle CAMPBELL

CAMPBELL, Joy Belle. Passed away on March 17, 2005 at the young age of sixty-eight years, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, with daughter Marilee at her bedside. Joy was predeceased by her father Burpee Campbell, Freeport, N.S., husband Bill Halsey, Pointe Claire, QC., sister Diane Francis Harris, Yarmouth, N.S., and daughter Holly Jane Richardson, Pierrefonds, QC. Joy will be sadly missed by her many friends and family. She is survived by her mother Pearl Campbell, Freeport, N.S., her brother Roland (Muriel) Campbell, Blacks Harbour, N.B., her children, Twilah Belle (Phill), Clayton, California, Marilee Diane (Alan), Mississauga, ON., Laurie Ann (Jim), Cloverdale, B.C., Thomas Lawrence (Shannon), Aldergrove, B.C., Jann Elizabeth (Tim), Ladner, B.C., step-sons, Glen, Bruce and Tom (Paulina) Halsey, Ottawa, ON., fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. We sincerely thank the many people who lent a helping hand to our Mum in her battle with cancer. A very special thank you to Doctor Partenaude for his compassion and thoughtfulness, the seventh floor nurses at the Jewish General Hospital who took such good care of our Mum during her final months, Mum's dear friend Augusta who was like a daughter to her, our cousin Terry and wife Lorie for always being there and to Lorna and Alan Archibald for caring enough to spend regular time with Mum during those long months spent in the hospital. There are no words that can express the pain and sorrow that we feel at the loss of our Mum. She will be in our hearts forever. A memorial service to celebrate Mum's life will be held at the Lakeside Heights Baptist Church, 275 Braebrook Ave., Pointe Claire, on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at 1 p.m. with a gathering after at Mum's house at 58 Valois Bay Ave., Pointe Claire.
