Betty Jean MCINTOSH

CAMERON, Betty Jean (nee McIntosh) Surrounded by family, her friends the Noxons, and the extremely caring staff of River Park Residence, Mum passed away April 16, 2005 with dignity and a sense of peace. Born in her beloved Barrhead, Alberta to a young war bride and a scholar cum teacher, she moved to Cornwall to marry her high school sweetheart James McKay (Mack) Cameron in 1944. Mum's career as a teacher of the special needs and later as assistant curator of the Woodhouse Museum, gave her great pleasure. An avid curler and member of the I.O.D.E., she also was an accomplished artist, writer and antique collector. Predeceased by James McKay last October, she is survived by her daughter Heather Cameron Pettipas, her sister Margaret Markell, her much loved grandchildren Meghan Pettipas (Ian) and Jamie McKay (Erica) and great-grandchildren Kea and Tiegan. As well, many nieces, nephews, brother-in-law Don Cameron (Betty) and sister-in-law Jean Adams (John). An extremely private person, Mum will be remembered for her sense of fair play, her bubbly spirit and her fierce love of her family.
