McDONALD, Jose Estella (nee LeLacheur) Peacefully in hospital at Ottawa, Ontario on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 in her 71st year. Beloved and cherished wife of Kenneth P. McDonald of Carleton Place. Adored mother of Lauren Goulet and beloved grandmother of Philippe (Alison Slack), Jilliane and Neil. Survived by her sister Pauline Brouard (Bob) of Forest, Guernsey and her favourite niece and nephew Lucy and Clem, as well as her cousin Sancia Rosoman of London, England. Jose McDonald, Master of Comparative Literature, retired from the federal government in 1993 as a senior editor with Treasury Board. Accomplished in languages including English, French, German and Spanish. She was an active and avid volunteer in her community and pursued many interests, including her passion for quilting. Friends may call at the ALAN R. BARKER FUNERAL HOME 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place on Friday, April 22 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. A celebration of her life will follow with Reverend David Mullin officiating.
