KOOLSTRA, Gerard Peacefully with family by his side, the Lord took home Gerard Koolstra, to be with his wife Fenna on Friday, April 22, 2005, at the age of 68 years. Loving father of Rietta (Aldo Fichera) and Diane (Dave Miskelly). Proud Opa of Nicholas, Michael, and Julia Fichera; Ryan and Kevin Miskelly. Survived by his brother Martin, and his sisters Sjouk, Rita, Janny and Jopie. Predeceased by his brothers Jelle and Simon and his sister Jitske. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Road), Nepean, on Sunday, April 24, 2005 from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 1475 Merivale Road, Ottawa, on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens. In memory of Gerard a memorial donation to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre, or the Queensway Carleton Hospital would be appreciated.
