Adelia Smith SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Adelia Smith, age 90, of Sackville, occurred at the Drew Nursing Home on Monday, April 25, 2005. Born in Sackville, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Blanche (Robinson) Noiles. Adelia was the first woman store manager with Zellers Department stores, working in Moncton, New Glasgow and Oakville, ON with 30 years of service. She retired to Sackville where she was a member of the Sackville United Church, a 25 year member of Fort Beausejour Chapter of the IODE, having been Regent for 7 years and a life member of the provincial chapter. She loved curling and her summer cottage. Adelia will be sadly missed by a son Stuart (Rachel), Melbourne, NS; two grandchildren, Rene (Leo) Gould, Truro and Bruce Smith, Truro; two great grandchildren; a sister, Inie Milton, Moncton; a brother, Earl (Florence) Noiles, Amherst, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Ferol Taylor. The remains have been forwarded for cremation. A time of visitation will be held at the Jones Funeral Home on Thursday, from 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 29, 2005 at 2 pm, Rev. Dr. Jamie Gripton officiating.
