Marjorie V. McCarthy Feb. 9, 1922 - Apr 25, 2005 Marjorie V. McCarthy, wife of Jack, of McKay Ave., Moncton, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 25, 2005 at the Briarlea Nursing Home, Moncton after a lengthy illness. Born in Springhill, she was the adopted daughter of the late Isabelle and Dave MacSavaney. Marjorie will be sadly missed by her husband of 61 years Jack; her daughter, Deborah (Jim) Bryan of Springhill, NS; one brother, Clayton and his wife Caroline of Springhill, NS and numerous nieces and nephews and in-laws throughout the country. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving granddaughter, Lisa Bryan; and her sister, Dorothy Berg. During the war years, she worked in Windsor, ON; Moncton, NB; Springhill NS. She was a volunteer with the Saint John Ambulance for a number of years and a member of the Lionettes Springhill Branch and enjoyed gardening and doing needlepoint. She had attended Wesley Memorial United Church, Moncton. By request there will not be any visiting hours prior to her memorial service which will be held on Saturday, May 7 at 2 pm in Cadman Bowness Funeral Home (857-1110), 114 Alma Street Moncton, NB. Donations in Mrs. McCarthy's memory may be made to the memorial of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Cadman Bowness Funeral Home 114 Alma Street, Moncton.
