Larry Albert Thiele July 26, 1942 - December 17, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Duncan) Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, December 17, 2005. Born in Spring Valley, Saskatchewan on July 26, 1942. Lovingly remembered by his family; wife Patty; daughter; Louise (Kevin) Dynna and son Steven and his grandson; Nick; mother; Mary; brothers; Wilf (Nancy), Adrian, sisters; Eileen (Ed), Kathy (John, Laurie (Pat), Betty, Linda (Rene), Marj, Riet (Glenn), Anne, Bonnie (Alex), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his father; Albert; brother; Fred and sisters; Bernadette and Janet. Larry retired from chip supply at the Crofton Mill in December 1999. Larry was one of the most generous men you could ever meet, from raising money for the Crofton Sea walk as well as giving a helping hand when ever asked. He would always take longer than necessary running errands, as he would talk to everyone. He also had a great sense of humour. His pride and joy was his grandson Nick. He will be missed by all who knew him. Larry was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br: 191. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road, Duncan, BC on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation. Following the service, friends and family are invited to the Sands Arbor Reception Centre for refreshments. Flowers gratefully declined, if so desired, memorial remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, PO Box 73, Duncan, BC V9L 3X1.
