CORMIER, GEORGE JOSEPH (PAPA) - At the Ridgewood Veterans Hospital on December 19, 2005, George J. Cormier of Saint John West, husband of the late Doris (Willar). Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Chamberlain) Cormier. Mr. Cormier was a veteran of World War #2 serving with the Canadian Army. He was employed in the construction industry having worked on many large projects in the Saint John area. He was a life member of the Antediluvian Order of Buffalo Lodge, and a member of the Jervis Bay #53 Legion. Surviving are two sons Wayne Cormier (Brenda Defazio) Saint John, Christopher Cormier Saint John; daughter-in-law Patricia Cormier Saint John; grandchildren Justin Cormier Nova Scotia, Melissa Cormier-Peters, Patricia Cormier, and great grandchildren Odessa and Drew Cormier-Peters, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers William, Edward, Arthur, Clem; sisters Melvina, Elizabeth and Maryann. Resting at the Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Dufferin Row, on Wednesday December 21, 2005 at 12 noon. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Visiting at "Fallsview" on Wednesday from 9 am - 11:30 am. [Telegraph-Journal]
