GRANT, IRVINE S. The death of Irvine S. Grant of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Sunday, December 25th, 2005. Born in Temple, NB on August 17th, 2005, he was the son of the late Hedley and Grace (Fox) Grant and wife of Marjorie (Smith) Grant. Irvine was a Barber for 42 years, retiring in 1987 from Hashey's Barber Shop on York Street. He was an active member of Christ Church Parish Church, having served as church sexton, Scout Master of Sea Scouts, and member of the church choir, Men's Club and Couple's Club. Irvine was also a member of St. Anne's Lodge and the Chartered Barber's Shoppers. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Marjorie; daughter, Heather Anthony (Brian) of Avondale, NS; brothers, Edison (Golda) of Alabama, USA and Fraser (Marion) of Taymouth, NB; grandchildren, Miles and Jill; step-grandchildren, Tom and Randy as well as several nieces and nephews. Irvine was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Coleman. There will be no visitation by family request. Memorial service will be held at J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 29th, 2005 at 11:00 am followed by a Masonic Hiram Lodge # 6 Tribute. Archdeacon John Sharpe officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
