Mrs. Paula Anne Gallant (née Gallant) December 05, 1969 - December 27, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) GALLANT, Paula Anne - 36, Timberlea, formerly of Glace Bay. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paula on December 27, 2005. Born in Glace Bay, Paula was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Dianne Gallant. She is survived by her loving husband, Jason MacRae; her beautiful baby daughter, Anna Paul; sisters, Lana (Paul) Kenny, Lynn (Alain) Blackburn, and special niece and nephews, Emily and Dylan Kenny, Connor and Timothy Blackburn, Conor O'Boyle; grandmothers, Lena Gallant, Prince Edward Island; Tena Starr, Gardiner Mines; in-laws, Wayne and Shirley MacRae, Hamilton, Ont., formerly of New Glasgow; sister-in-law, Jackie (Rory) O'Boyle; brother-in-law, Lloyd (Nathalie) MacRae, and many aunts and uncles. Paula was a grade three teacher at Beechville Lakeside Timberlea School. Paula was actively involved in her school and community, and art was one of her passions. She was currently pursuing her Certificate in Visual Arts at NSCAD. Paula was doing this not only to enrich her life but the lives of the students she taught. Her love of teaching was always evident in the creativity and passion she brought to her job and the fondness and warmth she displayed to her students. Friends and family always appreciated her sense of humor, quick wit and positive outlook on life. In a gathering, people gravitated towards Paula because she was a constant source of entertainment. Her sisters, Lynn and Lana, were her closest friends with barely a day going by without seeing or talking to each other. Paula's life became even more enriched when she married her beloved Jason and then the birth of their beautiful baby Anna in January 2005. Her happiest time in life was this past year with her new family. This radiated from Paula and was often displayed with her creativity when taking pictures of Anna and Jason and the compilations she would send to family and friends and through the journals, scrapbooks and stories she wrote for Anna. Paula will be dearly missed by all her family, friends, co-workers and students. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax, where visitation will be held from 1-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 1, 2006.
