Barbara MINDEL

OBITUARY BARBARA GOODMAN (nee Mindel) 1951-2005 Peacefully on Tuesday December 6, 2005 in Springfield Ma. after a lengthy illness. Beloved wife of Joel and cherished daughter of Edith and the late Harry Mindel. Barbara graduated from McGill University with a Masters degree in Social Work and went on to work at the Douglas Hospital until 1977 when she moved to Massachusetts. There she worked at Baystate Medical Center where she headed up the Incest Program. For the past twenty years she was a highly respected psychotherapist in private practice who loved her work and greatly enjoyed helping her patients. Barbara lived a rich and fulfilling life. She traveled extensively with her devoted husband of thirty-one years and was actively involved with their antique business. She will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched.
