MOONEY, John Roy Peacefully on December 10, 2005, age 64. Loving and beloved husband of Ruth. Dear father of Rebecca Mooney (Asif Nasim) of Mississauga and Julie Mooney of Toronto. John will be fondly remembered by his many friends and loved ones. He retired from the National Research Council Finance, IMS following a varied and successful accounting career. He will be remembered for his service contributions to The United Church of Canada and his passion for sailing, travelling and nature. He enjoyed the Investment Club at the Riviera Classics of which he was a founding member. Two of his lifelong goals of living on a farm and settling in a bungalow by the water, were fulfilled. He took great pleasure in the organization and realization of a community street party in Carleton Place this year. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse Playfair & McGarry 315 McLeod St. on Thursday, December 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday December 16, 2005 at 11 am. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Special thanks to the nursing staff at the Carleton Place Memorial Hospital, the Ottawa General Campus and the Ottawa Regional Cancer Clinic for their remarkable care and compassion.
