CHARCHUK, Lillian Mary Theresa (nee Furrie) With sadness we announce the passing of Lillian Charchuk of Leduc, Alberta on December 17, 2005 at the age of 77 years. Lillian is survived by her loving family, her husband of 48 years, Thomas, sons, Tom of Leduc and Stephen (Steffi) of Kingston, Ontario, daughter Sherry Charchuk of Edmonton, a grandson Stephen, her brother Kenneth (Lois) Furrie of Kingston and her sister Joyce Thompson of Manotick, Ontario, also her nieces, nephews and friends. Lillian was predeceased by her parents Helen and John Furrie and a sister Joan. Lillian spent her childhood years in Old Chelsea, Quebec and graduated in nursing from St. Joseph's Hospital in Peterborough, Ontario in 1951. She practiced her profession with the Victorian Order of Nurses and at the General Hospital in Ottawa, finally making her home in Leduc in 1972. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hainstock and Son Funeral Chapel, Leduc. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Parish, 5105 - 45A Street, Leduc with Reverend Michael Mireau officiating. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Lillian may be directed to the Alzheimer Society of Edmonton or the charity of personal choice.
