BIRD, Gerald John "Jerry" In his 79th year, died peacefully at Longfields Manor, Barrhaven on Saturday, December 17, 2005 with family by his bedside. Gerald was son of the late George and Margaret Bird. He was predeceased by his younger brother Robert "Bob" Bird. He leaves to mourn, his sister Florence Ladds, his niece Brenda Gordon of Australia, and nephew Norman (Debra) Gordon of Ottawa, his cousins Wendy (Ed) Bird Routliffe of Ottawa and Brian (Betty Ann) Bird of Carleton Place. I wish to thank the staff at Longfields Manor for the loving care and concern provided my brother these past few years. A private family graveside Service was held at Capital Memorial Gardens on Thursday, December 22, 2005. Published in the Ottawa Citizen from 12/23/2005 - 12/24/2005
