DOUCET, M. Georgina - 76, Antigonish, died March 28, 2004, in R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish. Born in Tompkins, NL, she was a daughter of the late Alexander James and Florence Cassie (MacLellan) Doucet. Georgina graduated from Mount Saint Bernard College with her secretarial diploma, and worked several years at the Bank of Nova Scotia, prior to entering St. Francis Xavier University, graduating in 1969 with her BA, B.Ed. degree. She taught in Calgary, Braemore School, Antigonish, Burlington, Ont. and Dartmouth Schools. She was a well-known and avid golfer, and was runner up for the Provincial Ladies Championship. Surviving are brother, Rev. Paul Doucet, St. Peter's Parish, Saint John, N.B.; sisters, May, Kay, both of Antigonish; sister-in-law, Claire Doucet, Ottawa. She was predeceased by brother, Ron. Georgina's family wishes to extend to the nurses and staff at the nursing home a special thank you for the excellent care given her, during her years at the nursing home. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in MacIsaac Funeral Home, Pleasant Street, Antigonish. Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Ninian's Cathedral, Antigonish, Rev. Andrew Boyd presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations to the Campaign Life Coalition Nova Scotia or Highland Academy of Learning.
