WALLACE, Donald Gordon. Suddenly, on Christmas Day at his home in Montreal at the age of eighty. He was the son of the late C. Gordon Wallace and Jean Blachford (Brown) Wallace. Born and educated in Montreal at LCC, Sir George Williams and McGill, he taught at Lachine HS, then McGill before moving to Laurentian University in Sudbury where he was a professor of English Literature and Film Studies for twenty-seven years. He enjoyed recreational sports, particularly competitive sailing and, in retirement, curling at RMCC. He is survived by Janet (Hardy) Wallace, his wife of fifty-seven years; children Brian, Neil, Jean and Ian, grandchildren Megan, Becca, Libby and Jocelyne and in-laws Trish, Steve, Alen and Nathalie. We will all miss him. There will be a Funeral Service on Monday, January 2, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont (514) 279-6540.
